TMSSAA MEMBER SCHOOLS
Please note that the Tennessee Middle School Cross Country Championships is a post (TMSSAA) season invitational meet. Teams and individuals competing in Tennessee Middle School Cross Country Championships are selected through a set of five regional qualifying events. Teams must be made up of members of the same middle school team and must compete as a club-team from that school or as unattached runners. Composite or “All-Star” teams are not allowed. However home school teams are allowed. The meet is sanctioned by USATF (USA Track and Field)

“Eligibility to compete is for all Middle School athletes in Grades 5-8 who have not competed in any High School competition as a member of either a Junior Varsity or Varsity team or as an unattached individual. Violation of this requirement may, at the discretion of Meet Officials, result in disqualification. All decisions by Meet Officials will be final.”

Regions

West = West of the Tennessee river

Middle =Tennessee river to a line drawn north and south diagonally through Cookville and Tullahoma Qualifying meet is ->


Tri-Cities = everything north and east from the Cookville/Tullahoma line and Morristown. Qualifying meet is ->


Knoxville = East of the Cookville/Tullahoma line and between
Morristown and Sweetwater. ->

Chattanooga = Everything south and east of Sweetwater and the Cookville/Tullahoma line. ->







*Note* If your team is near a boundary and would like to compete in another region, please contact us. We can make exceptions to the regions but you will only be allowed to attempt to qualify at one regional meet. (you may run all the regional meets, but you can only qualify in your region)

No not at this time. The meet is open to TN athletes only. I think NC will have their own meet this year.
